I made my parents a cornhole set for Christmas! Took a lot of courage to make it Michigan State themed.
Notes:
- Regulation size boards, 4’x2’x12”.
- Boxes made with 1x high grade pine material from big box.
- Top is some sort of cabinet grade plywood (I think maple?) that is 1/2 in thick.
- Legs fold in.
- The two boards latch together for transport and storage. There are rope handles for transport. Despite effort to minimize weight, they’re still pretty heavy. The rope handle make carrying more ergonomic.
- Made the bags myself, with some guidance on the sewing machine from Kaylin. Filled with these synthetic corn pellets which should be more durable and resist mold better than corn.
- Created stencils for the paint job on our Cricut. The stencil material wasn’t a perfect barrier for the paint, but the paint job was fine with a little touch up.
- Made with my friend Tommy, who was making a set for himself at the same time. He hasn’t finished yet. Will add photos when available.
